šŸ§‘‍šŸ« About the Course Instructor – Joanna Latała

Joanna Latała is a professional cellist with extensive stage experience as a soloist, orchestral musician, and chamber performer. For many years, she has combined her concert career with specialized work in mental preparation for musicians, supporting adult performers in meeting the psychological demands of professional performance.

Her background in symphony orchestras, chamber ensembles, and solo performance gives her a deep, practical understanding of the real pressures of a professional music career — auditions, competitions, high-stakes concerts, and long-term performance demands.

Joanna has developed her own performance-focused mental training methods, specifically adapted for adult musicians, which help professionals to:

  • manage performance anxiety and pressure in concerts and auditions,

  • build stable, reliable self-confidence on stage,

  • maintain focus and mental clarity under demanding conditions,

  • regulate stress and physical tension before and during performances,

  • recover quickly from mistakes and maintain artistic flow,

  • optimize energy and concentration across rehearsals, performances, and busy schedules.

Her approach is practical, structured, and individual. She adapts mental strategies to the musician’s professional context, artistic goals, and personality — whether working with orchestral musicians, soloists, or performers preparing for competitions and auditions.

In her courses, musicians not only learn mental techniques, but also develop long-term performance routines, psychological resilience, and a deeper trust in their preparation. The result is greater consistency, freedom, and confidence on stage.

Joanna has worked with musicians at various professional stages, supporting them in auditions, competitions, orchestral trials, and major performances. Her goal is not only to improve performance outcomes, but to help musicians build a sustainable, confident, and mentally healthy career.

During the online course, Joanna shares her stage experience, practical tools, and proven mental training techniques that enable musicians to perform calmly, confidently, and with full artistic engagement. Her teaching style is supportive, precise, and motivating — creating a space where professional musicians feel understood, challenged, and supported.
